Marie Clutch

This clutch purse was created to be both casual and dressy. It fits all of the essentials. Each bag has its own personality due to the natural texture that reveals itself after the leather is dyed. All of the materials in these bags are high-quality cow leather (3 to 4 ounces), leather lacing, and premium wax thread.

This bag has a unique closure system with a natural leather interior. To open and close the purse, you slide the small leather stopper on the wrist strap up and down the leather lacing.

The dimensions are 12 inches wide, 6.5 inches tall, and 0.75 inches deep.

There is a lot of love put into the creation of these bags. It starts with a sketch, paper models, and then a test bag. Once the test bag has been finalized, I am ready to go into production. A beautiful hide of vegetable-tanned leather is hand-picked. Then comes the cutting, edging, grooving, marking the holes with a wheel, and dyeing the leather. Once the pieces are dry, a shiny protective coating is brushed on top to provide protection from the elements and to seal in the colors. Next, I  pick up an awl and start poking holes and sewing! This is when everything really starts to take shape. This bag is hand-sewn by me, and the ends are lock-stitched to ensure durability. These bags will last for decades!
